I have to stop and take a minute to
thank my pit crew for all their help and support. If it wasn't for them
I would definitely not be able to make it to the track or keep up at the
track with all the strenuous tasks included in preparing and maintaining
a winning race car.
I have to especially say thank you to my dad (Ed Belec) for everything
he does such as providing me with all the best equipment and top notch
maintenance it takes to have a competitive car. Most of all I have to
thank him for giving me the chance to drive a race car. It has been a
life long dream of mine and growing up watching and helping him has
definitely had a lot of influence on me. He makes it possible for us (me
and the crew) to even be at the race track every week and that's more
than I could ask for. My uncle Dub has also been a great help to our
team in many of the same ways. I cant thank him enough for all his help,
support and crude humor. He keeps the other half of this team strong and
competitive which includes my cousin Dominic Ursetta in the #6u.
One person that probably doesn't get the recognition she should but in
reality is the headstone of our success with Schwan's, our public
relations and team coordinator is Dom's mom Regina. There are things
that she organizes and comes up with to help our team that I would never
have thought of. So thanks so much Regina, we would not be where we are
today with out you. Finally I have to give a big thanks to all my family
for being so supportive and most of all patient. You don't get good over
night. It takes months of hard work, dedication and practice and we are
doing everything we can to be the best team in IMCA modified racing. |
