It was an exciting night and also an exciting points battle that came down to the wire at Phillips County Raceway on September 19th. Belec started the night as the points leader but just by one point over teammate Ursetta. After starting fifth in a heat race full of cautions, Eddie crossed the line third at the checkered flag with the car in one piece.

    Starting inside of his teammate in the fourth row would make for a very exciting conclusion to the tightest points battle of the season. Early on the 3b was moving through the field nicely, getting up to the third position before the halfway mark. Just before the crossed flags, Belec drove into turn one too hard trying to follow his teammate to the front and spun out ending his chances at the title. After restarting in the rear of the field, he was able to fight his way up to the sixth spot at the finish respectively.
